SOBs and Marines VS cult of speed Orks(3000pts)

On the 29th of october 40.001 at about 16h30LPT, I was relaxing near the harbor of Skär-gate ,waiting for a supply ship with a reinforced platoon of Sisters of battle ,when we receive early warning of the approach of the much hated and despised Orks of the cult of speed. A Valkyrie about to land gave us some idea of the strenght of the enemy(too many) ,his direction (us) and intention (loot the harbor ,kill everyone).A nearby party of Preatorian guards(space marines specialised into urban combat)was pressed into the defence against the promise of a hefty reward and defence was quickly organised .
Out of a giant cloud of smoke ,a roaring wave of trigger happy maniacs emerged and was drowned into a hail of heavy bolter,bolter ,las-guns ,and pretty much any weapon in range . The effect was devastating and managed to temporarely halt them .Return fire was furious and a few braves fell for the eternal glory of the emperor .Luckily ,the green mob became bogged down behind a wooded hill of which one exit was hastily mined using castellan missiles .The mixed troops of SOBs and PGs all but exterminated the first wave suffering acceptable losses .A giant Squiggoth ,a sort of big lumbering ,drooling and snarling monster fell to a burst of missiles and laser cannon without inflicting any damage .Despite all the firepower being used(including an orbital strike),the situation was still close to desperate with the Orks threatning to come to hand to hand on several points of the line , more fire was poured into them and after a Valkirie straffing pass and the combined weight of the SOBs and PGs fire-support, the toll began to rise .
Unfortunately the valkyrie crew was lost attempting another pass and a number of our vehicles were destroyed as well .Out of their burning wrecks the orks reorganised themselves with surprising skills and were soon seen breaking out of the woods and wiping out several squads of troops .One group of zealots bravely (and totally uselessly )was ripped to pieces in hand to hand .A unit of enemy coptas was destroyed to a vehicle but the last survivor managed to destroy 2 (2!!!) of our tanks before falling shot to shreds.
The last desperate orks inflicted severe losses to our line but were overwhelmed and shot to the last in a series of bloody and merciless fights
We conducted a search of the battle field ,picking up all kinds of souvenirs and shooting the enemy wounded but we failed to find the enemy commander , a "questionned " survivor told us he was a devious and cruel fellow by the name of "quase "
I recommand that this individual be found, properly interrogated and shot .
This company will now go for a rest and recuperation period on the planet Kaar -ak 'as untill it is fit to fight the Xenos the Heretics again,

Magnifique! Cela fut un plaisir à lire (et à jouer d'ailleurs).
Je suis encore content d'avoir rattrapé autant de points dans les deux derniers tours.
Quant au gang des pères noëls, il faudra reviser un peu leurs tactiques et rôle sur le champ de bataille.

T'as des nouvelles concernant les photos?

Regarde par dessus ton epaule Quase, l'inquisition est sur tes traces. Pas de problemes pour copier le texte (je ne suis pas encore un auteur connu )
Pour les photos ,elles sont sur mon pc ,quelques unes ne sont pas mal ,mais comme je suis sur le point de partir en vacances ,tu devras peut-etre voir avec Gilles ou Alex

D'ailleurs, on m'a signalé que les règles "crash" d'avions seront dans un Annual de GWS; à vérifier Cool

et le tir des avions se fait bel et bien dans le tour de l'adversaire comme je le soupçonnais.
